Business Development Rep, Sr

Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development professional to drive new business growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new customer opportunities. This is a travel-based role focused on prospecting, relationship building, and front-end sales engagement. This role is ideal for a competitive, results-driven salesperson who thrives on building relationships, opening new accounts, and expanding market presence.
The successful candidate will focus on prospecting, networking, and developing new customers while working closely with internal teams to deliver value-driven solutions to customers.
The ideal candidate is located in PA, NJ, or NY. This position is remote with ability to travel 75%.
Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and secure new customers and opportunities within territory
- Generate leads through proactive research, cold calls, networking, and in-person visits
- Conduct meetings and presentations with prospective clients to understand needs and propose tailored solutions that differentiate DenTech’s value against other offerings
- Transition qualified leads and opportunities to the internal sales and operations teams for proposal development, quoting, and order execution
- Collaborate with DenTech teams (e.g., technical sales, operations, etc.) to deliver value-driven solutions to customers
- Close orders and achieve revenue targets
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand market presence
- Track activities, opportunities, and performance metrics in CRM
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and yearly revenue targets
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in a “hunter” style outside sales role
- Experience selling into industrial manufacturing and/or distributors/network partners, or mechanically inclined, highly desired. Experience in food industry is a bonus
- Comfort with cold calling and in-person meetings
- Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
- Ability to identify and build relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers
- Self-motivated with strong time management and territory planning skills
- Experience with CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamics 365, SalesForce, etc.) and Microsoft Office suite
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within territory
