Fabricator/Mig Welder

Summary

Successful candidates should have a general knowledge of metal working, forming, rolling, and bending. Blueprint reading is required and experience with press brakes, pipe/tubing rollers and CNC plasma cutter is preferred. Good attitude, work ethic and safety awareness are required. Overtime as required to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate parts using supplied drawings per supervisor’s instructions
• Load/unload trucks when necessary
• Fit and weld parts together using supplied drawings per supervisor’s instructions
• General rigging responsibilities
• Read blueprints
• Experienced use of hand tools and portable power equipment
• Welding experience including MIG, Stick, Stainless Steel TIG (food-grade capable), and use of a torch
• Work from ladders
• Operate lift equipment
• Responsible to work safely and ensure co-workers and other person(s) in the immediate area are working safely
• Maintain a high degree of quality while staying focused and productive and contributing to a friendly work environment
• Efficiently solve problems and roadblocks when presented
• Attend training courses as deemed necessary
• Assist in training of new staff
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Mig welding experience preferred
• Knowledge of hand tools and mechanical properties
• Ability to overcome stressful situations and identify/solve problems
• Maintain a valid driver’s license
