In September, we welcomed 30 customers to our Adamstown, PA, facility for DenTech’s Food Manufacturing and Automation Event.
The goal was simple: Give attendees a firsthand look at how industrial systems come together, while creating space to connect with our team and technology partners.
If you want a quick overview, start with the video below. Then keep reading for a closer look at what attendees saw during the day.
Seeing projects before they reach the plant floor
Our 40,000 sq. ft. warehouse is where we build and test large industrial projects before they’re installed in the field.
Why build this way? It reduces downtime at customer facilities, confirms that everything fits and works together as designed, and lets us verify system performance before installation.
For this event, we opened the doors so customers could walk through current projects.
Here’s a rundown of what was in the warehouse:
- Robotic automation line: Eight FANUC robots working together with vision tracking and inspection systems on a common flight
- Modular platform system: A three-level, fully integrated platform built for food processing
- Flavor dispensing system: A setup that consolidates drums and totes for more efficient ingredient dispensing
- Process controls and HMI: A large electrical control panel and demo unit running the AyrDyne dust collection controller
- Custom power saw: Built for precise cuts on large, extruded products

Automation technology demos from our partners
We set up the warehouse like a trade show, with vendor demos throughout the space. Participating companies included:
- Air Oil
- Banner Engineering
- Cognex
- Gibson Engineering
- Keyence
- Schaedler Yesco Distribution
- Shingle and Gibb
- Rockwell Automation
- US Duct
Attendees saw live demos of vision systems, advanced control systems, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), and more.
The conversations went both ways. As Justin Drzal (Sales Manager at Keyence) said, “It was great to be able to showcase our products but also speak with some of DenTech’s customers and see what value they’re adding.”

Learning about dust collection systems and combustible dust
We offered two educational sessions that qualified for professional development hours (PDH). These were presented by Jayson Cary (Regional Sales Director at Donaldson) and Mike Zook (VP of Sales at DenTech).
- Dust collection system design: The basics of dust, fume, and mist collection, design objectives for system components, and key design considerations
- Combustible dust: NFPA standards, combustible dust hazards, and strategies for mitigating risk
These sessions were designed to give attendees actionable knowledge they can apply in their own facilities.
What this means for your facility
Events like this showcase how we approach projects every day.
Our in-house expertise and modular approach let us support industrial facilities at scale, whether that means moving into a new facility, expanding production, or upgrading existing systems.
Jayson Cary summed up the experience this way: “The people here at DenTech make a difference. As you work with them, there’s a warm feeling that they are trying to solve your problems. They know what they’re doing, and you feel comfortable working with them.”
