Challenge
Cannistraro, an industrial mechanical contractor in Boston, needed to replace a dust collection system that was sized too small and not installed properly by a previous vendor. The incorrect equipment posed safety hazards in the facility. Cannistraro worked with DenTech to correct the issue.
Solution
DenTech Industrial’s solution focused on dust collection for Cannistraro’s orbital plasma cutter, which cuts piping for commercial use. The previous vendor installed a hood and dust collector that were too small.
Our team designed and fabricated two hoods to collect weld fume. We also designed a new dust collection system that’s appropriately sized for up to 16,000 CFM for the orbital plasma application.
We supplied the design, ductwork, AyrDyne electrical control panel, fan, dust collector, and spark cooler. DenTech removed the old system and installed the new system in Cannistraro’s facility.
